We’re happy to announce that Mifos 2.4, our second major community-supported release since the transition is available for download. With development and release management led by SolDevelo, this release is in direct response to some of the most critical gaps our users have expressed in Mifos – easier reporting and integrated accounting. Mifos 2.4 includes 25 Pentaho reports embedded directly in Mifos, and the upcoming maintenance release will include Mifos-ACC, the basic accounting module, developed by Hugo Technologies with sponsorship from FinA. Mifos 2.4 also rounds out a lot of the core functionality to improve efficiency and streamline business process including transfers between accounts, value-based permissions for loan approvals, real-time M-Pesa mobile money integration through KopoKopo, back-dated loan approvals, pro-rated GLIM payments, savings adjustments, updated PPI scorecards, and more.
